Need a unique gift for a fabulous person? Tired of giving just gift cards as birthday, baby shower, or wedding presents? You’ve come to the right place!
Ok now that the “infomercial-let-me-grab-your-attention” lines are out of the way, let me introduce myself. My name is Tracy and I am a Class of 2009 poor, unemployed college grad (heck of an opening line, huh?) I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and no full-time job at the moment so what is the only logical solution to that problem? Start my own business, of course! (I am a HUGE fan of sarcasm if you haven’t noticed.)
In all seriousness though, I decided to start my own craft-making/scrapbooking business for multiple reasons. First off, I absolutely adore creating things. It is just relaxing and such a joy to make the scrapbooks, cards, and craft items and it doesn’t seem like work to me, when the fact of the matter is, it is actually hard, expensive work. It becomes exciting to me when I get photos and my mind starts jumping around to how I’m going to lay them out in the books and the colors and embellishments I’m going to use-it’s kind of a sickness! As far as the crafts and cards, I just imagine what I think will look fun and cute and then go from there. My process of doing though is simple: get my stuff, put on the 80’s music channel, and have a ball! It brings nothing but pure happiness into my life.
Secondly, I love giving everything as gifts. I’ve made close to 35 scrapbooks since 2005, most of them for myself, but many as birthday presents, baby shower gifts, etc. It is a very personal way to show someone special how much you love them and what they mean to you and mean in your life. Plus, adding a sentimental, sweet, hand-made greeting card along with it is the cherry on top! Upon giving the gifts, I’ve received nothing short of many thanks and happy tears and huge smiles on faces. It warms my heart.
My goal then is this: again, I’m trying something new since nothing else is on the horizon for me. I’m a simple big-haired, Jersey girl. I’m to the point and honest, but have a level of compassion that is unmatchable. I take pride in crafting and would love to have the opportunity to make more people have huge smiles, happy tears, and can’t get enough thanks out of their mouths when they receive their items. I am a firm believer in friendship and family, traditions, and memories. Anyone who knows me personally will tell you that. I want people’s memories to last forever and if there can be some style and fun added onto them, it just may make some Merry Memories!!
